Anticipated amount of funds is $39,705.00 and $1,000 interest; total estimated funds $40,705.00. The Hearing was advertised in the Little Sentinel as required by law. The rules for the Proposed Use Hearing as follows: The government must hold this public meeting at least seven (7) days before a budget including revenue sharing funds is presented for enactment. Government officials having responsibility for development of the budget must conduct this meeting. Citizens of your community must have a chance to suggest uses for revenue sharing money. Suggestions may be made orally or in writing. The seven-day period mentioned above is important because it gives admini- strative and executive officials time to consider suggestions before the proposed budget goes to the legislative body. Present at this Hearing were Bill Jacobs, S. Edgemon Ave., Phil Kulbes, Glasgow Court, Police Chief John Govoruhk, Commissioner Leanne Grove, City Manager Richard Rozansky, and City Clerk Mary Norton. Manager Rozansky explained that the money is usually allocated for capital items. Mr. Kulbes objected to the money being spent on personnel. Mr. Jacobs suggested the money be spent for recreation and public services, i.e. paramedic program, Police Department and Fire Department. Manager Rozansky discussed last year's purchases from Federal Revenue Sharing funds, The Hearing was closed at 6:40 p. m. Respectfully submitted, ~7 Aot-t~ Mary T.
