HomeMy WebLinkAbout1983 08 16 City Commission Workshop Minutes . . . / WORKSHOP MEETING CITY COMMISSION CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS AUGUST 16, 1983 The Workshop Meeting was called to discuss the FY 1983/84 Budget. The Meeting was called to order by Mayor John V. Torcaso at 7:00 p. m. Roll Call: Mayor John V. Torcaso, present Deputy Mayor Buck Adkins, present City Manager Richard Rozansky, present Commissioners: Jim Hartman, present Inez Linville, present Bill Jacobs, present Leanne Grove, present The first department discussed was the City Manager's: Line Code 69.1 Contingency was added, in the amount of $7,000.00. The City Planner's Budget was reviewed and there were no changes made. In the Building Department, Line Code 52.1 was reduced $1,500.00. The Finance and Engineering Budget was changed as follows: Line Code 12.1 Salary - Engineer, 21,887.00 was deleted. Line Code 21.1 FICA Taxes was changed to 1,112.00. Line Code 23.1 Health Insurance was changed to 480.00. Line Code 31.3 was reduced to 10,000.00. There was discussion of insurance on the vehicles. There was discussion of the cost of the copy machine. The City Manager was asked to see when the present contract on the machine expires. Copy Machine Supplies was put on hold until the next Workshop to see what is done with the copy machine. The City Clerk's Budget was changed as follows: Line Code 42.1 was changed to 1,500.00. Line Code 49.5 was changed to 1,000.00. The City Commission Budget was reduced $50.00 with the deletion of Line Code 51.1. There were no changes to Legal Counsel Budget or Recreation Budget or General Government. Commissioner Adkins said we would receive between $97,000 and $102,000 from Seminole County for the gas tax which would be added to the Revenues. The next Workshop on August 30, the Police Department, the Fire Department and Paramedic Department and the Public Works Department and salaries will be discussed.
