BUILDING DEPARTM.eNT INVESTIGATION /-... r' SPECIAL SESSION CITY COUNCIL CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS NOVEMBER 11, 1975 The Special Session of the City Council of the City of Winter Springs, Florida was called to order by Mayor Troy Piland. The pledge of allegiance to the flag was led by Councilman Hunter. Roll Call: Mayor Troy Piland, present Attorney Newman Brock, present Deputy Mayor Donald Browning, present Councilmen: Irwin H~nter, present Ernest Hendrix, present John Daniels, present Irene Van Eepoe1, present Motion was made by Councilman Daniels to appoint Mr. Brock as the Attorney for the remainder of this investigative committee's process. Seconded by Councilman Hendrix. Discussion. Vote on the motion: Councilman Hunter, aye; Councilman Hendrix, aye; Councilman Daniels, aye; Councilman Van Eepoel, yes; Councilman Browning, aye; motion carried. Motion was made by Councilman Daniels to have Mr. Andersohn's affidavit No.5 first. Seconded by Councilman Van Eepoe1. Discussion. Vote on the motion: Councilman Hunter, aye; Councilman Hendrix, aye; Councilman Daniels, aye; Councilman Van Eepoel, yes; Councilman Browning, aye; motion carried. r Mr. Robert Andersohn was sworn in. Mayor Piland read Affidavit No. 5 which was signed by Robert Andersohn and J. T. Justice. Mr. Andersohn was questioned by Council. Mr. J. T. Justice was sworn in and questioned by Council. Mr. Russell Justice was sworn in and questioned by Council. Mr. Ackert, Attorney for Mr. Bradshaw, called in Warren Williams for questioning,; he was not subpoened.The,nhewas questioned by Council. Motion was made by Councilman Browning to allow Mr. Ackert to continue with his witnesses, and bring back individuals who had previously testified. Seconded by . Councilman Hendrix. Discussion. Vote on the motion: Councilman Hunter, aye; Councilman HendriX, aye; Councilman Daniels, aye; Councilman Van Eepoe1, yes; Councilman Browning, aye; motion carried. Mr. Tom Berlin, City Building Inspector of Casselberry was sworn in and questioned by Mr. Ackert and Councilmen. Mr. Ackert called Karen Raley who was sworn in and questioned by Mr. Ackert and Council. Mr. Ackert recalled Mr. J. T. Justice Ill. Motion was made by Councilman Browning to dismiss Affidavit No. 5 as insufficient to cause any further action. Seconded by Councilman Hendrix. Discussion. Vote on the motion: Councilman Hunter, aye; Councilman Hendrix, aye; Councilman Daniels, aye; Councilman Van Eepoel, no; Councilman Browning, aye; motion carried. Mrs. Janice Mullins was sworn in. Mayor Piland read Affidavit No. 10 which was signed by Mrs. Mullins. Mrs. Mullins was questioned and then excused because of the late hour and Mrs. Mullins health. Mr. Elder Williams was questioned by Council. Mr. Ray Bradshaw was questioned by Council. r The meeting was to be continued on Wednesday, November 12th and Mrs. Mullins was to be asked to be present.
