Secon"d by Councilaan Daniels. Discussioa. Vote on the motion: Councilman Hunter, aye; Councilman Durrance, aye; Councilman Daniels, aye; Councilman Van Bepoel , yes, Councilman Browning, no, motion carried. Hr. Don Bobo, Bxecutive Director of the Drug Action Coaalttee, discussed their progr.. and asked Council for $500. Finance COImdssioner Prank Durrance will check to see if there is any money available ia the budget, and this will be discussed again next week. (' Hr. Billy Bramlett asked peraission to have more than two dogs. !lotion was macle by Councilman Van Eepoel to grant Hr. Bramlett permission again to keep the three dogs. Secon"d by Councilman Hunter. PlanniDg & Zonina aeport, COIIIDissioner Hunter reporting: Councilman Hunter turned the report over to Hr. Bradshaw, Building Inspector, aad he gave the monthly report of the Building Department, a copy is on file. Hr. Bradshaw discussed the mouey that will be available for the restoration of Gee Creek. Hr. Bnest Hendrix, ChaiJ:lll8n, gave the Planning and Zoning aeport. At the ae- organizational HeetiDg of the Zoning Board, Brnest Hendrix was appointed Chairman, Sharon Patrick Vice-chaiDlan, John Newsome Secretary and Harlene aossiter Assistant Secretary. The Board has been revi....ing the codification and will start reviewing the P. U. D. ordinance. Council.an Hunter reported that Hrs. aaley will be available on Tuesday evenings to take minutes for the Planning CoaIIission, the additional wages will be funded from the Mayor t s budget. r'- Hr. Bradshaw read the letter from architect Bob Koch and also discuSSM the letter from Aagaard Juergenson in reference to the deficiencies in the building. Copies of the letters are on file. Hotion was macle by Councilman Browning that the City Bngineer be instructed to evaluate the feasibility of our probl... with the asphalt and also with the drainage on the west side of the building and report back to Council at the earliest possible time. Seconded by Councilman Van Bepoel. Discussion. Finance Report, Councilman Durrance reporting: Councilman Durrance gave the monthly finance report, a copy is attached to the minutes. Hr. Kramer, the Accountant" has asked for an increase from. $l25 to $150 per 1IlOnth and Council was in agreement with this. Pire Department Report, Councilman Daniels reporting: Counci1man Daniels distributed copies of a proposed ordinance to all Council. Motion was made by Councilman Daniels that we instruct the Attorney to set up a public hearing for a new ordinance to make these changes to Chapter 6 of the City Code. Seconded by CouncibDan Hunter. Discussion. Vote on the motion: CouncibDan Hunter, aye, CouncibDan Durrance, aye; Councilman Daniels, aye; Councilman Van lepoel, yes; CouncibDan Browning, aye; motion carried. Fire Chief, Charles Holzman has distributed copies of the monthly Fire Department Report and a copy is on file. Public Works ~partment Report, CouncibDan Van Bepoel reporting: Director of Public Works, Fred Roberts gave the Public Works report and a copy is on file. Mr. Roberts reported that the tractor is in very bad condition; Hr. Roberts is to come back next week with some prices on a new tractor. r- CouncibDan Daniels thanked the Pub lic Works Department for new street signs and for stopping the water frOlll flowing onto Winter Springs Boulevard between Northern Way and the Clubhouse. Water is now flowing between Tuscawilla and Northern Way on the north side. Police Department Report, Councilman Browning reporting: Copy of the monthly Police Department Report is on file. Motion was made by CouncibDan Browning that we instruct the police chief to have the tank filled and authorize the police chief once a month to have this tank topped off as long as the funds last. Seconded by CouncibBan Daniels. Discussion. Vote on the motion: Councilman Hunter, aye; Councilman Durrance, aye; Councilman Daniels, aye, Councilman Van Eepoel, yes; Councilman Browning, aye; motion carried. The J:oggiBg program was discussed and Councilman Van lepoel reported that one maintenance man has volunteered and Hr. Wool is interested in working again this year. There will be a need for more chemicals, and this matter will have to be looked into. Attorney Brock read the second reading of Ordinance No. 115 by title only. Motion was made by Councilman Van Bepoel to adopt Ordinance Ro. 115 on the secoud reading by title only. Seconded by Councilman Daniels. Discussion. Vote on the motion: Councilman Hunter, aye, Councilman Durrance, aye; Councilman Daniels, aye; Councilman Van Bepoel, yes; Counci1man Browning, aye; motion carried. Mayor Piland reported that the letter from. Hr. Bill Kercher regardina the application to fund the County Comprehensive Planning Act will be turned over to Attorney Brock for his review.
