(\ 73 -h- 33 REGULAR SESSION CITY COUNCIL CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS JUNE 10, 1974 The Regular Session of the City Council of the City of Winter Springs, Florida was called to order by Mayor Troy Piland at 7:00 p. m. The invocation was given by Reverend Floyd Peterson. The pledge of allegiance to the flag was led by Fire Chief Charles Holzman. Roll Call: Mayor Troy Piland, present Vice-Mayor Irwin Hunter, present Attorney Edmund Woolfolk, present Counc i !men: David Outlaw, present John Booth, present Irene Van Eepoel, absent Donald Browning, present Mayor Piland recessed the Regular Session and opened the Workshop Session to discuss the Fire Department Budget. This will be continued next week. Counci~n Browning's budget, Road and Bridge Department will be discussed also. Mayor Piland called the regular session back to order. Motion was made by Councilman Booth to approve the minutes of June 3, 1974. Seconded by Councilman Browning. Discussion. Vote on the motion: Councilman Hunter, a.ye; Councilman Outlaw, aye; Councilman Booth, aye; Councilman Browning, aye; motion carried. Attorney Woolfolk read Ordinance No. 103. Motion was made by Councilman Hunter to set up a public hearing for Ordinance No. 103. Seconded by Councilman Browning. Discussion. Vote on the motion: Councilman Hunter, aye; Councilman Outlaw, aye; Councilman Booth, aye; Councilman Browning, aye; motion carried. Motion was made by Councilman Booth to instruct the attorney to set up a public hearing for the ordinance amending OrdiDance 110. 44, providing for a new zoning classification R-Cl Single Family Dwelling District. Seconded by Councilman Hunter. Discussion. Vote on the motion: Councilman Hunter, aye; Councilman Outlaw, aye; Councilman Booth, aye; Councilman Browning, aye; motion carried. Motion was made by Councilman HUnter that we hire Alvin Roggenkamp as fireman, at a salary of $7,500.00, effective July 1, 1974. Seconded by Councilman Outlaw. DiscussiOn. Vote on the motion: Councilman Hunter, aye; Councilman Outlaw, aye; Councilman Booth, aye; Councilman Browning, aye; motion carried. Mayor Piland discussed the letter from Southeast First National Bank of Maitland; They are willing to loan the City $~OO,OOO.OO at 5.95% interest. Motion was made by Councilman Outlaw that we accept the bid of Aagaard-Juergensen, Inc. for the Fire Station. Seconded by Councilman Hunter. Discussion. Vote on the motion: Councilman Hunter, aye; CQuncilman Outlaw, aye; CouncillD8n Booth, aye; Councilman Browning, 80; motion carried. Mayor Piland read the letter from Etta Harville, Secretary to the Zoning Board; she returned $75.00 (fee for April, May & June) secretarial fee.
