A pledge of allegiance to the flag was led by Councilman Booth. aoll Call: Mayor Troy Piland, present Attorney BdaUllcl Woolfolk, present Vice Mayor Irwin Hunter, ;;,present Councilmen: David Outlaw, present John Booth, present Irene Van Bepoel, present Donald Browning, present Motion was made by Councilman Outlaw to approve the minutes of April 22, 1974. Seconded by Counciblan Hunter. Discussion. Vote on the aotion: Councilman Hunter, aye; COUllcil_n Outlaw,ay.; Coun~ilman Booth, aye; Councilman Van Bepoel,yes; Counciblan Broning, aye; aotion carried. Mayor Piland recessed the aegular Session and opened the public hearing forHy" Supply,ln~. for their request for annexation and C-l zoning. Attorney Bdmund W..Uolk read the notice of public hearing that was published in the newspaper. Mr. lU.char4Boe.ch, t1l6appUcant, explained he was planning. to build an office c-.plexof ,rofessional offices. Mre. Daniels, Mr. Voska andHrs. Patrick spoke for the annexation. Mrs. Van Eepoel spoke against the annexation. Mayor Piland closed the public hearing and opened the public hearing for the change of zoning, from R-l.AA to R-lUA in the Ranchlands. Attorney Woolfolk read the notice of publiC hearing that vas pUblished in the newspaper. After discussion, several residents of the Ranchlands requested Council to adopt a new ordinu:ce for the zoning claSSification, a. C. B. - Residential Country Bstates. Mayor Piland recessed the public hearing and opened the Public Hearing for Or.ltnanee No. 102. Attorney Woolfolk read the notice that was published in the newspaper allel also Ordinance No. 102 in its entirety. Several people spoke for the orclinance ead several people spoke against the ordinance. Mayor Piland closed the public hearing and reconvened the Regular Session. MOtion was made .,.CoUt)Cilman Hunter to proceed with the annexation and change of zoning to C-1 pursuant to the Mooney Bill. Seconded by Councilman Booth. Discussion. Vote on the. aotion: Councihaan Hunter, aye; Councilman Outlaw, aye; Councilman Booth, aye; Councilman Van Bepoel, no; Councilman Browning, aye; motion carried. Motion was made by Councilman Van Bepoel to continue the pubU.c hearing for the change of zoning frOlll R-lAA to R-lUA on June 24, 1974. Seconded by Councilman Booth. Discussion. Vote on the motion: Councilman Hunter, aye; Councilman Outlaw, aye; CouncibDan Booth, aye; Councilman Van Bepoel, yes; Councilman Browning, aye; motion carried. Motion was made by Councilman Van Eepoel to instruct the Planning & Zoning Board to prov'cle the City Council with a recommendation in reference to Residential Country BstatesZoning classification to submit their recommendations to the Council as soon as possible. Notion was made by Councilman Van Eepoel to instruct the Attorney to prepare the neCessary documentation to chanae that area listed for upgrading as soon aa the zoning classification R. C. E. is adopted by Council. Seconded by eou#cilman Booth. Discussion. Vote on the motion: Couaci1maa HUIlter, aye; COuncilman Outlaw, aye; Councilman Booth, aye; Councilman Van Eepoel, yes; Councilman Browning, aye; motion canied. Notion was made by Councilman Booth to approve Ordinance No. 102 becoming effective January 1, 1975. Seconded by Councilman Hunter. Discussion. Vot~on the motion: Councilmaa Hunter, aye; Councilman OUtlaw, no; Councilman Booth, aye; Councilman Van Eepoel, no; Councilman Browning, aye; motion carried. Notion was made by Councilman Hunter to adopt Resolution #123. Seconded by eo\'Q1cilman Outlaw. Discussion. Vote on the motion: Councilman Hunter, aye; Couneilmaa OUtlaw, aye; Councilman Booth, aye; Councilman Van Eepoel, yes; Counci1man Browning, aye; motion carried. Co~eilman Browning gave a report of the costs of the County under the Road Haibtenanee 4areeaent. Nayor Piland asked Council to have some decision n...week whether or not they'wanted to use the equipment. Notion was made by Councilman Hunter to instruct the Hayor to SiaR the utility .....nt from Florida Power Corporation. Seconded by COUllcilman Browning. Di..asion.
