A pledge of allegiance to the flag was led by Councilman Booth. Roll Call: Mayor Granville Brown, present Viee~yor Troy Piland, present Attorney Thomas Freeman, present Councilmen: Victor Hiller, present Vicki Baker, present John Booth, present Cliff Jordan, present Hotion was made by Councilman Baker to approve the minute. of November 14, 1973. Seconded by Counciblan Booth. Discussion. Vote on the !lOtion: Councilman Hiller, aye; CouncUaan Baker, aye; Councilman Booth, aye; Councilman Jordan, aye; Councilman Pllancl, aye; IIlOtion carried. Mayor Brown closed the Regular Session and opened the Public HeariDe for the Ordinance No. 93, annexation of Southeastern Hetalcraft Co. Hr. Freeman read the notice of public hearing that was published in the Sanford Herald. Mr. Freeman read the first reading of Ordinance No. 93 in its entirety. No one spoke against the ordinance. Mayor Brown closed the public hearing at 7:35 and re,pened the Regular Session. Motion was made by Councilman Miller to adopt Ordinance No. 93 on the first reading. Seconded by Councilman Booth. Discussion. Vote on the motion: Councilman Miller, aye; Councilman Baker, aye; Councilman Booth, aye; Councilman Jordan, aye; Councilman Piland, aye; motion carried. Hotion was made by Councilman Jordan to set up a public hearing on the Planned Unit Development plans as submitted by Mr. Cooper for Pebble Brook as early as possible. Seconded by Councilman Hiller. Discussion. Vote on the IBOtion: Councilman Hiller, aye; Councilman Baker, aye; Councilman Booth, aye; Councilman Jordan, aye; Councilman Piland, aye; aotion carried. Motion was made by Councilman Miller to instruct the attorney to prepare a resolution to annex that portion that is not within the city limits, and to set up a public hearing to ch.ange the zoning from RU to PUD on the property lying within the city l~its per the request of Calbert Development Corporation. (Calbert Development Corp. letters of Oct. 17, 1973.). Seconded by Councilman Jordan. Discussion. Vote on the motion: Councilman Hiller, aye; Councilman Baker, aye; Councilman Booth, aye; Councilman Jordan, aye; Councilman Piland, aye; motion carried. Mr. Davis of the Wllco Group read the letter regarding the park in Section 1, Unit 1 of the Terraces. Motion was made by Councilman Jordan to incorporate the letter of November 21, 1973 from the wllco Group into the minutes of November 21, 1973. Seconded by Councilman Baker. Discussion. Vote on the motion: Councilman Miller, aye; Council1Dan Baker, aye; Councilman Booth, aye; Councilman Jordan, aye; Councilman Piland, aye; motion carried. Regular Session, November 21, 1973 Page 2 73-74 - 7 Motion was made by Councilman Baker that we grant Mr. Hattaway permission to dredge this lake to a depth of twelve feet. Seconded by Councilman Jordan. Discussion. Vote on the motion: Councilman Miller, no; Councilman Baker, aye; Councilman Booth, no; Councilman Jordan, aye; Councilman Piland, aye; motion carried. An araendaent to the IBOtion was made by Councilman Jordan that the project be completed in six months from the start of the operation and the contractor hauling the material be bonded to the City in the amount of $2,000. Seconded by Councilman Miller. Discussion. Vote on the motion: Councilman Miller, aye; CounciLman Baker, aye; Councilman Booth, aye; Councilman Jordan, aye; Councilman PIland, aye; motion carried. An amendment to the IBOtion was made by Councilman Miller that the roads be maintained on a daily basis and under daily repair. Seconded by Councilman Baker. Discussion. Vote on the IBOtion: Councilman Miller, aye; Councilman Baker, aye; Councilman Booth, aye; Councilman Jordan, aye; Councilman Piland, aye; motion carried. There was a discussion of the condition of the roads of the Ranchlands. Mr. Glen Atchison and Hr. and Mrs. Thomas of Williams Road made the complaints. Councilman Booth read the letter from Mr. Irwin Hunter, Parade Chairman. )lotion was made by Councilman Booth to grant permission for the Volunteer Fire Department to hold the annual Christmas Parade on Dec8Dber 16, at 3 :00 p.m. Seconded by Councilman Jordan. Discussion. Vote on the motion: Councilman Miller, aye; Councilman Baker, aye; Councilman Booth, aye; Councilman Jordan, aye; Councilman Piland, aye; motion carried.
