A pledge of allegiance to the flag was led by Councilman_ P iland. Roll Call: Councilman: Mayor Granville Brown present Herbert Fox present Attorney Thomas Freeman present James Sasser present Vice-2- ayor Charles Rowell present Victor Miller present Troy Piland present Motion was made by Councilman Fox to accept the minutes of May 1, 1972. Road & Brid e Report, Councilman Rowell re ortin : Councilman Rowell asked e status of T_e city limit signs. The new ordinance will be read reannexing the road right-of- ways. Police & Fire Re ort Councilman Piland reporting Councilman Z a read e monthly Police report. A motion was made by Councilman Piland that we accept the Chiefs s recommendation to accept the gifts of funds from H8*1 Sunoco and Jaekt s ,Mini Market towards the purchase of a rescusitator and emergency equipment. Seconded by Courei:marMiller. Discussion. Motion carried. Iiotion was made by Councilman Piland that we refund Patrolman Morris, Policewoman Quackenbush, Patrolman Roesel and Patrolman Danjou $1U.00 each for completion of the Police Standards Course whic-1 they attended. Seconded by Councilman Rowell. Discussion. Motion carried. Motion was made by Councilman Rowell that we authorize the ChLjf to have shocks and brakes installed on the 1970 Ford. Ma arts Report, Mayor Brown re ortin Mayor Brown reported on several meetings he had attended in the past month and then turned the meeting over to Attorney Thomas Freeman. Mr. Freeman read the first reading of Ordinance No. 72 in its entirety, vacating plats and roads in printer Springs. A motion was made by Councilman Rowell that we accept Ordinance No. 72 for the first reading in its entirety. Seconded by Councilman Fox. Discussion. Motion carried.
