May 15, 1972 -
The Regular Session of the Village Council of the Village of
North Orlando, Florida was called to order by Mayor Brown at
7:40 p.m. A pledge of allegiance to the flag was led by Mayor
Brown.
Roll Call: Councilmen:
Mayor Granville Brown present Troy Piland present
Attorney Thomas Freeman present Victor Miller present
Vice -Mayor Charles Rowell present Herbert Fox present
James Sasser present
June 3rd through June 10th has been set for the Clean Up Week
Campaign,
A motion was made by Councilman Miller that the request for
approval of the plats for Units 3, 4, 5 and 6 of the Terraces be
tabled. Seconded by Councilman Fox. Discussion, Motion carried.
A motion was made by Councilman Piland to have the Zoning Board
forward their recommendations as to the amendment of Ordinance No.
48 by the next scheduled Council Meeting. Seconded by Councilman
Miller. Discussion. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Councilman Rowell to deny the approval of
the preliminary plats of Winter Springs Units 3 and 4. Seconded
by Councilman Fox. Discussion. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Councilman Piland that we authorize the
Mayor to obligate us up to $1,500.00 for participation in CALNO.
Seconded by Councilman Miller. Discussion. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Councilman Fox to authorize an advance of $.50
in the maximum rate charge for garbage service effective May 1, 1972.
Seconded by Councilman Rowell. Discussion. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Councilman Fox to adjourn the meeting. Seconded
by Councilman Rowell. Motion carried.
