HomeMy WebLinkAbout1972 04 10 Village Council Workshop MinutesWORKSHOP SESSION V ILLAGE COUBC IT, VILLAGE OF NORTH ORLANDO APRIL 10, 1972 The Workshop Session of the Village Council of the Village of North Orlando was called to order by Mayor Brown at 7:33 P.M. A pledge of allegiance to the flag was led by Mayor Brown, Roll Call: Councilmen: Mayor Granville Brown, present Troy P iland, present Attorney Thomas Freeman, not present James Sasser, present Vice -Mayor Charles Rowell, present Herbert Fox, present Victor Miller, present Mr. Mike Alexatos spoke of the various proposals that have been bvought up before the Council, starting with the drainage ditch, then the holding pond and now a swail. As Meadowlark Developers are unable to pipe the entire area at this time, their plan is to have the thirty acres rezoned Into commercial and R-3 to generate the necessary funds to pipe the entire area. There is a definite need for an easement east of Wade Street, part of which is County property, which is a Village problem, and not part of the Meadowlark Development. Mr. Cliff Jordan spoke on several of the proposals to the Village and Council asked Mr. Jordan if he could put this in writing to the Council. Mr. Cal Conklin, Engineer for the Village, also injected the question of water and sewer capacity. Council made the straw vote as an indication to the Meadowlark Developers if they should go ahead with their engineering plans as this is very expensive. The Memorandum of Agreement to be signed by all parties for participation in the TOPICS program was discussed. Mayor Brown is to take this agreement to Mr. Freeman, and if he is In agreement, then Mayor Brown will sign it. Workshop Session, April lo, 1972 A letter was received from Warren F.
