HomeMy WebLinkAbout1969 11 17 Village Council Special Minutes SPECIAL SESSION VILLAGE COUNCIL VILLAGE OF NORTH ORLANDO NOVEMBER 17, 1969 The Special Session of the Village Council of the Village of North Orlando was called to order at 8:05 P.M. A Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was led by Mr. Keller. Roll Call: Councilman: <]:ranv111e Brown Charle s Rowe 11 Julian Keller Albert MarShall (Absent) Mayor, Clifford Jordan Vice-Mayor, David Tilson Attorney, Thomas Frean an The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the garbage service of North Orlando, to discuss the Sub-Division Regulations and to discuss the plats for Mr. Sapp, North Orlando Townsites, 4th Addition. The guests at the meeting were: Mr. Sapp, Developer Mr. Meyer - Contractor for Mr. Sapp Mr. Istvan - Engineer for Mr. Sapp Mr. Freeman gave a copy of the revised Sub-Division Ordiance No. 49 to each member of the Council to read, study and review. This Ordiance will repeal Ordiance 49, but the only difference is that it incorporates the changes which were suggested by the Planning and Zoning Board in Mr. Ke11ey's letter of March 10, 1969. Mayor Jordan suggested that it be placed on the agenda for December 1, 1969. Mr. Brown suggested that a Workshop meeting be held prior to the December 1, 1969 meeting to discuss the Ordiance. A WorkShop meeting will be held Wednesday, November 26, 1969 at 8:00 P.M. Mr. Kelley read a letter from the Planning and Zoning Board approving the plats for Mr. Sapp. Mr. Kelley made mention of the fact that the entranceway must be replatted. Mr. Kelley stated that all the descrepancies have been taken care of on the new copies of the plats. A motion was made by Mr. Tilson that the Village of North Orlando accept the final plats tor North Orlando Townsites, 4th Addition, with the stipulation that the temporary drainage ditch be piped no later than t.. (2) years from the date of acceptance of plats. Seconded by Mr. Brown. Discussion. The motion carried. Mayor Jordan discussed the applications for approval of Sewer and Water facilities which Mr. Sapp has to send in to the Florida state Board of Health for approval. SPECIAL SESSION NOVEMBER 17, 1969 PAGE 2 A motion was made by Mr. Brown that the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to sign the documents for approval of Sewer and Water facilities in behalf of the Village. Seconded by Mr. Rowell. Motion carried. Mr. Keller discussed the garbage service and explained that we have had numerous complaints regarding Davis Garbage Service. Mr. Davis was sent a certified letter asking him to appear and he did not appear. The Mayor was asked to write Davis a letter asking him to come when he can and the Council would be here so that we can find out his intentions. Mr. Tilson made mention of the fact that the School Bus routes were all passable. The Mayor announced that Lyman High School Booster Club is going to have a Deed day and sell deeds to plots of land in the football field. There will be a proclamation by the Mayor proclaiming Deed Day. Mr. Tilson made a motion to adjourn at 9:15 P.M. Seconded by Mr. Rowell. The motion carried.
