PROCEEDINGS AT SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING
VILLAGE OF NORTH ORLANDO, FLORIDA
MARCH 9, 1962, at 8:00 P.M.
Mayor Fasula called the meeting to order. In attendance
were: Mayor Fasula, Councilmen Memory and Webster.
The Village Clerk read the minutes of the previous meeting
held February 6, 1962. The Mayor called for any corrections or
additions to the minutes. Hearing none, the minutes were ap-
proved as read.
The regularly scheduled meeting of Council was not held
on March 6, 1962, due to lack of quorum. The Mayor stated that
this special meeting had been called for the purpose of acting
upon a resolution and ordinance which the attorney for the
Village was preparing in connection with permitting sale of
beer and wine in the food store to be opened in the shopping
center in the near future, but that Mr. Olliff was unable to
have the resolution and ordinance ready for this meeting, and
that another special meeting would have to be called. Candidates
running for office of councilman in the coming election were
present, and the Mayor invited them to express their views on this
subject, especially regarding the Sunday sales of beer and wine
in the store. All were in accord that sales should be permitted.
Mayor Fasula inquired if there were any committee reports
to be made. There were no reports.
There being no further business to come before the meeting,
on motion of Mr. Webster, the meeting was adjourned.
