HomeMy WebLinkAbout1961 06 06 Village Council Regular Minutes ~ .-, r- PROCEEDINGS AT COUNCIL MEETING VILLAGE OF NORTH ORLANDO, FLORIDA JUNE 6, 1961, at 8:00 P.M. Mayor Fasula called the meeting to order. In attendance were: Mayor Fasula, Councilmen Webster and Terebo. The Village Clerk read the minutes of the previous meeting held May 2, 1961. Mayor Fasula called for any corrections or additions. Hearing none, the minutes were approved as read. The Mayor called for any reports. Chief Stevenson stated that he did not have anything to report, other than that he had contacted the Sanford Naval Air Station and that films on fire fighting would be available, and anyone would be welcome to see them. Mr. Anderson reported that the Civic Assoation had adopted I r- its by-laws. Also that the Association would like to have a place , ( , designated by the Village where a picnic could be held on July 4th for the residents. Mr. Sutton stated that he did not have anything to report concerning the Police Department. The Mayor called for any old business to come before the Council. There was no old business. The Mayor called for any new business to come before the Council, and there was no business to be taken up. The Mayor stated that he had contacted County Commissioner Dunn in reference to having some planting along the Longwood-Oviedo Road from Highway 17-92 to the Village so that it would beautify the highway after the widening is completed.
