Mayor Liddicott called the meeting to order. In attendance were Messrs. Fasula, Webster and Jackson. The Village Clerk read the minutes of the previous meeting held July 5, 1960. Mayor Liddicott called for any corrections or additions. Hearing none, the minutes were approved as read. Mayor Liddicott: Is there any old business to come before the meeting? Mr. Webster brought up the question of the amount of money to be expended on the proposed temporary recreation area and the length of time it was expected to be used before construction of the permanent recreation area. After some discussion, the Mayor pointed out that no definite agreement had as yet been reached between the builders and the North Orlando Company in regards to these questions, and that the project is still in the discussion stage. . Mayor Liddicott: Any other business? Mr. Jackson reported that in connection with obtaining a fire truck for the Village of North Orlando, that Mr. Sesnie, who is Treasurer of the Silver Creek Precision Company, was then in Fredonia, New York, negotiating with the Mayor of that city for the purchase of one of their fire trucks. - The question of establishing a volunteer fire department when a fire truck has been purchased was brought up. Mayor Liddicott stated that there are three or four people in North Orlando who have had fire fighting experience who have volunteered to serve and would train other volunteers in fire fighting, therefore, with them forming a nucleus we would be able to organize an active company. The resolution regarding the establishment of a Federal Savings and Loan Association in the Town of Casselberry was again brought up for action. Mr. Fasula moved that the foregoing resolution be tabled indefinitely. The motion was seconded by Mr. Jackson. Mayor Liddicott: It has been duly moved and seconded that we table this resolution indefinitely. All those in favor. Opposed. Hearing none, it is so ordered. The Mayor called for any ether business to come before the meeting. He stated that the attendance was very small at this meeting, and that he would like to see a larger attendance and more interest taken in these monthly meetings. He stated that the next meeting would be on September 6, 1~60, and that if there was nothing further to come before the meeting that he would entertain a motion to adjourn. Mr. Webster made the motion to adjourn the meeting, and the motion was seconded by Mr. Fasula, whereupon the meeting was adjourned. - Respectfully submitted, Elizabeth S. Helmly Village Clerk
