Roll call was made by the Village Clerk. In attendance were Messrs. Liddicott, Jackson, Fasula, Terebo, and Webster. Minutes of the previous meeting were read by the Village Clerk. Mayor Liddicott asked for any corrections or additions - hearing none - they were approved as read. MR. LIDDICOTT: Any new business, Gentlemen? MR. JACKSON: I have a number of items I would li\ce to bring up for discussion but at this time I do not want them put in the form of a motion. WHEREUPON Mr. Jackson presented the following: 1. He had several samples of building permits which he passed to the council member5 for their inspection. The Building Permit used by Seminole County was viewed and discussed and it was the concensus of opinion that it was the clearest and most concise and in all probabil- ity could be utilized at North Orlando, Florida. 2. Mr. Jackson then showed the Council some sample copies of Electrical and Plumbing Inspection Forms. He pointed out that it would be necessary to have a separate form for the contractor, the electrician's permit, and the plumbing permit. Also, that the incumbent in each case would be required to file a drawing of the plans for the anticipated work with the City Hall. 2 (9/8/59) 3. Mr. Ja.ckson brought up the subject of whether or not a property owner could do his own work as to construction on his property and what would be the procedure followed insofar as the Township is con- cerned regarding licenses , permits, etc. The only conclusion reached was that it was a bit premature at this time to giye this matter attention and the ex> uncil would take the matter up for consideration at a later date when a definite case came about. 4. Mr. Jackson read at random a long list of occupations that require city licenses in some cities and after some discussion it was suggested that he compile a list of the occupations and suggested license fees which the Village of North Orlando would be most likely to need and that this list would be presented at a later meeting. MR. LIDDICOTT: Gentlemen, I have complete confidence in Mr. Jackson's judgment as to our immediate requirements for building per- mi ts, construction inspection f<>rn13 of all necessary types, etc., and I would suggest that we give him our approval and authority to proceed with the ordering of the necessary forms to be printed for our immediate needs. WHEREUPON the Council agreed to this wholeheartedly. In conclusion ..... no formal motions or resolutions were made at this meeting, but a number of subjects were discussed which will be put into formal motion form at later meetings. MR. LIDDICOTT: Is there any further business at this time? There beirig none - Mr. Liddicott asked for a motion that the meeting be adjourned. MR. TEREBO: MR. itJKffiTER: I make a motion that we adjourn. I second this motion. Respectful~ s~mitted:. !) %-~ ;f~\y ~/C/~7 (Mrs. Lois Strickland) Village Clerk
