REQUEST: The City Manager And The Parks and Recreation Department Director request that
the City Commission approve Resolution Number 2009-25 recognizing the
retirement of Parks and Recreation employee Bonita (Bonnie) Roberts.
PURPOSE:
This Agenda Item is being submitted to the City Commission for approval for Bonnie
Roberts to receive a Resolution in honor of her 17 1/2 years of service to the City.
CONSIDERATIONS:
Parks and Recreation Department employee Bonnie Roberts' last day of work is April
15, 2009.

RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is recommended that the City Commission approve Resolution 2009-25 for Bonnie
Roberts in honor of her 17 1/2 years of service to the City of Winter Springs.

RESOLUTION NUMBER 2009-25
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS, FLORIDA,
RECOGNIZING BONITA ROBERTS FOR HER 17 1/i
YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE AS AN EMPLOYEE
OF THE CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS; AND
EXPRESSING OUR APPRECIATION ON BEHALF OF
THE CITIZENS OF THE CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS;
AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, BONITA ROBERTS has provided the residents of Winter Springs with
17 1/2 years of dedicated and distinguished service in the Winter Springs Parks and Recreation
Department; and
WHEREAS, BONITA ROBERTS joined the Winter Springs Parks and Recreation
Department in the position of Maintenance Worker in August 1991, became the Parks and
Recreation Concessions Manager in November 1992, and transferred back to Maintenance Worker
in July 2003 serving in that capacity since; and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of Winter
Springs, Florida as follows:
SECTION I -That the Mayor and Commission, City Manager, and Staff of the City of
Winter Springs takes great pleasure upon the occasion of BONITA ROBERTS' retirement to
recognize and honor her for her uncommon level of distinguished service to the residents of
Winter Springs through her employment in the Winter Springs Parks and Recreation Department.
SECTION II -That this Resolution commending the services of BONITA ROBERTS be
recorded upon the official Public Records and Minutes of this City Commission of the City of
Winter Springs, Florida.
SECTION III - That a copy of this Resolution be forwarded to BONITA ROBERTS
with our sincerest thanks for her many contributions.
