REQUEST: The Parks and Recreation Department is notifying the City Commission on the
status of the City of Winter Springs Summer Day Camp Program
PURPOSE: The purpose of this agenda item is to update the Commission on the status of the
Summer Day Camp Program.
CONSIDERA TION:

On Monday, February 22, 1999 the Commission approved a two-tiered Summer
Day Camp Program to be run by the Parks and Recreation Department at
Sunshine Park Civic Center.

Summer Day Camp Started Tuesday, June 2, 1999 and will run thru Friday, July
23, 1999. Camp Days and Hours are Monday - Friday from 7:30a.m. to
6:00p.m..
.
As of June 3, 1999 Summer Camp prepaid enrollment averaged over the eight
week program is about 42 campers per week.
.
From the Summer Camp prepaid enrollment average only 2 out of the 42
campers per week are Non-residents of Winter Springs.

Semoran Skating (afternoon) must wear socks, snack area available
