State Road 434 Winter Springs FL 32708 Dear Ms. Cook, I am writing to request an appearance before the Winter Springs City Commission. The purpose of my presentation is to ask permission for an exemption to Section 4.2 of the City Code, the pet limit. Right now I am renting the house, with my fiance, Dan Doskey, at 417 S. Hawthorn Circle in Winter Springs. We own two dogs and are a foster home to a third. The third dog is the last of the final litter of the two parents we own. We thought we had a home for the baby, but it fell through. We recently moved to Winter Springs from Gainesville. Gainesville has no similar limit to the number of pets people can have. That's why I am both surprised and worried that I may be forced to get rid of the innocent little dog that has no home. While I am still looking for an appropriate home for him, he has become a cherished part of our family. The dogs stay outside during the day and come inside at night. While I'm not sure what their behavior is like when we're not there, they are very quiet and well behaved when we are home. We are clean, quiet~ law-abiding citizens of the city. We are willing to do whatever it takes to be permitted to keep t11e three animals. We are respectfully asking for a few moments at the next possible City Commission meeting to describe our situation and request an exception to the ordinance. We love all three of the dogs and want them to be kept as a family as long as possible. Sincerely, Trisha Sherven / ANIMALS Sec. 4-1.
