REQUEST:
The Community Development Department - Planning Division requests the Commission
table a first reading of Ordinance 707 adopting the proposed Town Center District
boundary and Town Center District Code. until January 11, 1999.
PURPOSE:
The purpose of this agenda item is to request the Commission table a first reading of
Ordinance 707 to consider adopting the proposed Town Center District boundary and
Town Center District Code to January 11, 1999 to provide additional time for
negotiations with the property owners.
CONSIDERA TIONS:
On December 8, 1998, staff met with representatives of Schrimsher Properties, Inc.
Additional time is needed to finalize negotiations.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends the Commission table consideration of the first reading of Ordinance
707 for the Town Center District Code until the meeting of January 11, 1999 to allow
staff ample opportunity to discuss the proposed Code with the affected property owners.
