HomeMy WebLinkAbout1998 02 09 Regular Item E COMMISSION AGENDA ITEM E REGULAR X CONSENT INFORMATIONAL February 9. 1998 Meeting MGR IMoEPT Authorization REQUEST: City Manager requesting the Mayor to appoint and the Commission to ratify an Alternate for the S'outh Seminole & North Orange County Wastewater Transmission Authority. PURPOSE: The purpose of this agenda item is for the Mayor to appoint and the Commission to ratifY an Alternate to represent the City on the South Seminole & North Orange County Wastewater Transmission Authority. CONSIDERA TIONS: The Mayor needs to appoint and the Commission ratifY a City Representative and an Alternate to the South Seminole & North Orange County Wastewater Transmission Authority. At the January 26, 1998, Commission Meeting, Mayor Partyka appointed and the Commission ratified Mr. Don Gilmore as the City's representative to the South Seminole & North Orange County Wastewater Transmission Authority. The Alternate represents the City on the Authority in the absence of the City Representative and is eligible to vote on all matters brought before the Authority. The Alternate must be a City resident. The South Seminole & North Orange County Wastewater Transmission Authority meets monthly on the last Thursday of the month at 9:00 a.m. The next meeting is scheduled for February 26, 1998. FUNDING: The City Representative and/or alternate receives $25.00 per meeting and is in the FY 1997-1998 budget. RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the Mayor appoint and the Commission ratifY a City an Alternate to represent the City on the South Seminole & North Orange County Wastewater Transmission Authority. IMPLEMENTATION: Upon Appointment COMMISSION ACTION:
