HomeMy WebLinkAbout1997 11 10 Informational Item A 'i: COMMISSION AGENDA ITEM A REGULAR CONSENT INFORMATIONAL X November 10. 1997 Meeting MG~I'\DEP~ Authorization REQUEST: Community Development Department, Land Dev~fopment Division, presents to the Commission for informational purposes, the conceptual plan for the revised AMOCO facilities. PURPOSE: The purpose of this Board Item is to inform the Commission of the proposed revised plans for the AMOCO facilities to be constructed at the intersection of Hayes Road and State Road 434 (SW corner). FINDINGS: The City Commission, at their meeting of December 9, 1996, was informed and commented on the conceptual plans for the proposed AMOCO station. The City Commission at their meeting of September 22, 1997, was informed and commented on the final site plan for the proposed AMOCO station. The previously approved plans were to be developed by an independent AMOCO contractor. Because of cost factors, the independent contractor chose not to develop the property. AMOCO now has the property under contract to develop themselves. The Site Plan Review Board had a pre-application meeting with AMOCO on October 23) 1997, and stated the concerns of the Commission as presented to Staff - bike rack, landscaping, no car wash, black vinyl fencing, etc. 'k November 10, 1997 Information Agenda Item A Page 2 CONSIDERA TION: This item is being presented to the City Commission for informational purposes. The plans are in the conceptual phase only and are not construed to meet Code requirements at this time. This procedure allows the developer to receive input from the Commission and Staff prior to commencing the formal engineering process.
