HomeMy WebLinkAbout1996 10 28 Consent Item F ,- .,.. ~~ COMMISSION AGENDA ITEM F REGULAR CONSENT X INFORMATIONAL October 28. 1996 Meeting REQUEST: The General Services Department requests that the City Commission make total award of$4885 to Wayne's Heating and Air and Lennox Industries. Wayne's Heating and Air for installation in the amount of$l, 100.00; Lennox Industries for equipment in the amount of$3,785.00; a new rooftop afc unit to replace unit #6 on the Police Department side of City Hall. Wayne's is the lowest responsive bidder for installation, and Lennox is the lowest bidder for equipment. PURPOSE: The purpose of this request is to award Wayne's Heating and Air and Lennox Industries the bid to replace unit #6. CONSIDERA TIONS: 1. Wayne's is the lowest responsive bidder for installation according to the following table: Wayne's Wesson Air 4-Seasons $1,100.00 $1,380.79 $2,244.00 2. Lennox Industries is the lowest bidder for equipment. The unit needs to be replace rather than repaired. Lennox Wesson Air 4-Seasons $3,785.00 $4,299.00 $4,143.00 .;P . ~ October 28, 1996 AGENDA ITEM 1- Page 2 ISSUES: Unit #6 needs to be replaced in order to facilitate the complete cooling/heating of City Hall and to accommodate balancing the system by 4-Season (the installer of the new duct work). FUNDING: There are adequate funds in General Services Account 1320-54630 Repair and Maintenance-Equipment to accommodate this request. IMPLEMENTA TION SCHEDULE: This request would be effective immediately upon award by the Commission and execution of the contract after legal review and sign off. COMMISSION ACTION:
