INTRODUCTION
Because of the intermingling of structures and natural cover fuels in unincorporated areas
of Seminole County, the objectives of the two above-named organizations are
inseparable; i.e., to minimize the loss of life and property as a result of uncontrolled
fire, Recognizing' this, ~..e, the undersigned, agree to the provisions of this ~'lemorandum of
Understanding for the primary purposes listed ~elow.
1. Provide for closest possibl~ cooperat:L6i1, on mutual obj ectives'.
2. Prevent misunderstandings as to operational areas and responsibilit~es of
our respective organizations.

1. Primary Area:, State Road 419 North and East to Tuskawi 11 a Road South on
Tuskawi-lla Lake Drive West to 17-92.
2, Secondary Area: (Note: tIay include all unin~orporated areas of the County
wherein .fire department is located and has jurisdiction.)

OPERATIONAL PROCEDURES
The Fire Department will dispatch manpower and equipment to any kno~\~ fire within the ?rimary
area (previously described), and ~dll, if local conditions permi t., answer calls' vIi thin. the
Secondary Area (previously described), upon request of the Division of Forestry,
The Division of Forestr'y v!ill, when equipment is available, dispatch a cre~\T to any knmm forest/
brush/grass, fire, or to any, 'fire of unknown charcicter. 'Equipment may also be SE'lt into incorpo-
rated areas upon request of the cunicipal fire department.
T.Jhen both agencies are represented at' the same. fire, the over-all supervisional responsibility
shall lie with the agency concerned .most dir~ctly with area and object on fire,
This agreement shall be effective from the date of execution by the District Forester, Division
of Forestry. It will continue. in force unless terminated by either party upon a sixty (60) day
written notice to the other.
