Mayor of the City of Winter Springs,
Dear Sir:
Each year the "American Numismatic Association" sponsors and
event called "NATIONAL COIN wEEK". This years event is sched-
uled for April fifteenth through the twenty-first.
During this time individuals and clubs which are members of
the American Kumismatic Association display and exhibit coins,
bills, and tokens, with an emphasis on education to promote
numismatics as a wholesome hobby for both the young and old
alike. This year the "Central Florida Coin Clubll has elected
to participate in this worthwhile event.
The Clubs accomplishments during "National Coin vieek" will be
sent to the American Numismatic Association in scrapbook form
to measure the effort expended by the clubs during this period.
We would appreciate any support you may feel free to give in
the sponsorship of this event. Interested as you are, not only
in the thrift of your city, but also in the thrift of the na-
tion, I know you realize the value of the art and science of
numismatics, which promotes and encourages thrift and at the
same time provides a fraternal relationship among many honor-
able persons.
I have taken the liberty to prepare a sample proclamation
that you may use or change as you deem necessary.
I can assure you that your interest and support will mean a
great deal not only to the Central Florida Coin Club members,
but to other numismatists in this area.
