Presently, delivery trucks primarily to Publix, cross the state lands on the unpaved area just east of Doran Drive. The current design of the Blumberg Trail addresses this is by creating a brick paver median crossing matching the existing brick paver area at Cliff Rose Drive and Blumberg Boulevard. Staff at the Office of Greenways and Trails has endorsed the design including this median crossing pending the approval of the easement application. Including this median crossing in the plan allows for the exiting of the Phase Town Center not only for delivery trucks but other vehicular traffic as well reducing the current practice of motorists making left turns into oncoming traffic lanes. In addition, another access from westbound Blumberg Boulevard will be made available to vehicular traffic, improving traffic flow in the Town Center. FUNDING: No Funding Required.
