A erson who owns or controls a potential brownfield site is requesting the p desi nation and has agreed to rehabilitate and redevelop the brownfield site; g 2. The rehabilitation and redevelopment of the proposed brownfield site will result in economic productivity of the area, along with the creation of at least 5 new permanent jobs at the brownfield site... 3. The redevelopment of the proposed brownfield site is consistent with the local comprehensive plan and is a permittable use under the applicable local land development regulations; 4. Notice of the proposed rehabilitation of the brownfield area has been provided to neighbors and nearby residents of the proposed area to be designated, ... 5. The person proposing the area for designation has provided reasonable assurance that he or she has sufficient financial resources to implement and complete the rehabilitation agreement and redevelopment plan. 4. QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER DESIGNATION OF A BROWNFIELD AREA IN UNINCORPORATED SEMINOLE COUNTY November 29. 2007 AT 6:00 P.M. Notice is hereby given that L.D. Plante, Inc., and Seminole County staff, will conduct a public hearing on November 29, 2007, beginning at 6:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as possible, in the Commission Chambers, City of Winter Springs City Hall, 1126 East State Road 434, Winter Springs, Florida. The purpose of this hearing is to receive public input on a proposal to designate the properties described on the map below as a "Brownfield Area", as provided for in Sections 376.77 through 376.86, Florida Statutes ("Brownfields Redevelopment Act'). The public will have opportunity to comment on neighborhood residents' considerations, and other relevant local concerns at this hearing. The properties are located southeast of the intersection of SR 434 and Tuskawilla Road, adjacent to the City of Winter Springs. The site contains approximately 6.45 acres. Additional information regarding these matters, and any comments received, are available for public review at the address above, Room 2201, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Please note that the Seminole County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) will conduct a public hearing, at a future date to be separately advertised, to consider adoption of a resolution designating the properties described on the map above as a Brownfield Area. Staff will forward public comments to the BCC from this public hearing. Persons with disabilities needing assistance to participate in any of these proceedings should contact the Winter Springs City Clerk 48 hours in advance of the hearing at 407-327-5955.
