Interest & Experiences
Why are you interested in serving on a board or committee?
I love spending time at the parks around the area. From the time we moved here, we've seen updates
and growth at all of the parks, from the new playgrounds at Central Winds and Trotwood to the seating at
Sam Smith and the splash pad update at Torcaso. We LOVE the parks and see the importance of them to
our community. I would love to go beyond being a patron to volunteering to help our city. I was raised that
we all need to take part in civic and public service, and I want to do my part.
Briefly state any specialized knowledge or prior experience you have that would be useful in
assisting the board or committee in accomplishing its purpose.
I use the parks! I'm the demographic because we have a multi-gen, blended family who use the park
playgrounds, walking trails, events, rentals, etc... We are also aging and hope this is our final move... so
eventually we'll retire here too. My work experience is in communications and I believe the ability to
connect with other residents and businesses in WS is vital to the health and growth of the parks.
