Construction cannot begin until all Project Commencement documentation has been submitted and approved by this office. This process should be completed within 180 days from the execution of your grant agreement (by 11/12/2019). Once the Department approves the commencement and environmental documentation, you will receive written authorization of the Notice to Proceed (NTP). Again, please do not commence construction until you receive the NTP authorization. Quarterly status reports are required - January 5, May 5, and September 5. Please be sure to summarize work accomplished, problems encountered (if any), and provide color photographs of development progression. 3. The Department will not process your reimbursements request until the Grantee completes the project and staff reviews and approves all Completion Documentation and the final as-built product. 4. The project should be completed by the completion date set forth in the grant agreement (03/17/2021) and all reimbursement requests and closeout documents submitted within thirty days after completion. 5. If the project liaison changes or you propose any changes to the original project agreement, please contact me immediately. This includes any alterations to the project scope of work, located in Attachment 3 (Grant Work Plan). 6. We understand that some recipients depend on consultants to assist with their projects. However, please understand that the Grantee/Recipient is responsible for the grant and all that it encompasses. The grant agreements are between the Grantee and the State of Florida - Department of Environmental Protection, so the Grantee is ultimately responsible for knowing what's directly going on with the project(s) and will be held accountable.
