The Police Department requests the Commission accept grant funds from the 2014 Florida
Department of Law Enforcement JAG grant in the amount of $26,175 to fund the purchase
of an Incident Management Command Center Camera System, authorize the use of the
vendor Prison Rehabilitative Industries and Diversified Enterprises, Inc (PRIDE)
international to complete the mobile Command Post Camera System, and authorize the City
Manager and Mayor to execute all required documentation related to this grant acceptance.

SYNOPSIS:
This year, the Police Department applied for residual grant assistance through the Florida
Department of Law Enforcement - JAG Program. The total amount requested was $26,175.
The police department was selected to receive the grant in the amount of $26,175 and we
now request the Commission approve the acceptance of the grant and allow the City
Manager and Mayor to execute all required documentation related to this grant acceptance.
CONSIDERATIONS:
In February 2017, the Police Department was notified that we were selected to receive a
residual grant award through the Florida Department of Law Enforcement JAG Program for
$26,175. A concept paper had to be written and turned in outlining how the requested funds
would be utilized prior to the monies being awarded. The police department will use
the funds to purchase an Incident Management Command Center Camera System used by
police officers and other city officials as an on -scene command post to effectively manage
emergency situations throughout the city.
On February 1, 2017, the police department received notice from the Florida Department
