HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 617 Mobile LicenseRESOLUTION NUMBER 617 WENT BEFORE THE CITY COMMISSION AT THE 06/26/89 MEETING IN WHICH THE CITY ATTORNEY ASKED THAT THE RESOLUTION BY MADE INTO AN ORDINANCE. A MOTION WAS MADE AND PASSED THAT RESOLUTION 617 BECOME ORDINANCE 463. RESOLUTION NO. 617 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS, FLORIDA, . ADDING "MOBILE" LICENSE TO TYPES OF OCCUPATIONAL LICENSES AUTHORIZED WITHIN THE CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS; RES. NO. 598 BE AMENDED TO INCLUDE "MOBILE" LICENSES; SEVERABILITY, CONFLICTS AND EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, Chapter 10 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Winter Springs provides for Occupational Licenses, and WHEREAS, the City Commission of Winter Springs has determined it to be in the best interest of the City of Winter Springs to include "Mobile" license to types of occupational licenses authorized within the City of Winter Springs. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF WINTER SPRINGS, FLORIDA: SECTION I - that Resolution No. 598 be amended to include Section P as follows: A. Definition: Mobile Occupational License shall be that license where the occupation requires an address for tax purposes and a telephone for the conduct of business. There shall be two (2) classes of Mobile License and they shall be permitted in any zoning category provided that: 1. No business activity is allowed on the premises except that which is conducted by telephone or wholly within the building. 2. No storage or equipment, supplies or commercial vehicles on the premises. 3. No employees to work or report to the premises. 4. There is to be no increase in traffic. B. Class I Mobile License shall consist of General Contractors Classes I, II and III, and Sub-contractors licensed by the Florida Dept. of Professional Regulation. There is to be no outside visable sign or indication such business is located in a residential area. The fee shall be as established in Resolution #598 for the par- ticular occupation. C. Class II Mobile License shall consist of the following types of occupations, and the fee shall be twenty-five ($25.00) dollars per year. 1. Subcontractors not regulated by the State, consisting of painting, drywall, carpentry, irrigation. 2. Sewing-garments and items for other than own family. 3. Clothing Sales-wholesale without any stock on premises. 4. Desk top publishing. 5. Personal computer service. 6. Sales requiring only address and telephone to include cosmetics, cleaning, supplies, chemicals, advertising, shoes, housewares, personal goods. 7. Telephone answering service. 8. Accounting and Bookkeeping Service. 9. Appliance Repair-all work to be done in home of client. 10. Music Teachers-only 1 student at a time. 11. Lawn maintenance service-no equipment to be stored outside. 12. Home and office cleaning service. 13. Courier service. 14. Consumer buying service. 15. Photographers-all work to be off premises. 16. Valet parking service. 17. Consulting service 18. Secretarial and court reporting service. 19. Alarm monitoring and maintenance service. 20. Interior Decorating service. D. Any other type occupation not listed may be permitted after public hearing conducted by Board of Adjustment to determine if it is compatible with the area and the welfare of the citizens of Winter Springs. SECTION II - This Resolution shall remain in force and effect until supplemented, amended, repealed or otherwise altered. SECTION III - AIl Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with this Resolution are hereby repealed. SECTION IV - This Resolution shall take immediate effect upon its passage and approval.
