ORDINANCE NO. 9
AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE FLORIDA MODEL TRAFFIC ORDINANCE
BY THE VILLAGE OF NORTH ORLANDO, FLORIDA, AS AUTHORIZED BY CHAP-
TER 57-333, HOUSE BILL NO. 1245, of the 1957 FLORIDA LEGISLATURE.

WHEREAS, 1957 Florida Statute 186.02 grants authority to municipal corp-
oration to adopt the Florida Model Traffic Ordinance by reference, without setting
forth the provisions in their entirety, and
WHEREAS, the Village Council of the Village of North Orlando, Florida, is
desirous of adopting the Florida Model Traffic Ordinance by reference;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF
THE VILLAGE OF NORTH ORLANDO, FLORIDA, in regular session convened:
Section 'I... That there be and there is hereby adopted as a traffic code of
the Village of North Orlando, Florida, the code which is hereto attached and ex-
pressly incorporated herein and made a part hereof, designated as:
"AN ACT to be known as the Florida Model Traffic Ordinance for regulating
the movement of all vehicular, pedestrian and other traffic and establishing
rules of the road applicable within municipalities and in conformity with
state traffic regulations; providing for administration and enforcement; pre-
scribing penalties for violation;permitting its adoption by reference by mun-
icipalities of Florida. "

Section 2. That any person, firm, or corporation violating any of the pro-
visions of this Ordinance shall upon conviction be punished by a fine not exceeding
Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) or imprisonment for a period of not exceeding
ninety (90) days, or by both, such fine and imprisonment at the discretion of the
Municipal Judge.

Section 3. That the requirement of reading this Ordinance on separate
days be and the same is hereby dispensed with the unanimous vote of the Village
Councilmen of the Village of North Orlando, Florida.
Section 4. That this Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its
passage and adoption by the Village Council of the Village of North Orlando, Florida.
